Dear colleagues,
new backing tracks (in the range of g´- d´´, for beginning pupils) were added into the first chapter. All pieces are from the album Do Re Mi Fa So, Vol. 1 by well-known German composer Sören Sieg.
The pieces are of different difficulty levels. You will find that some contain a whole range of quite complex rhythms - it is a big challenge for children and teachers too at this stage of musical development. The rhythmic difficulty (dotted sixteenths, 3:2, triplets, etc.) of the rest of the album's tracks is also why I haven't included them in the chapter yet. It is a big question whether it is necessary to involve such complex rhythms at this stage of development...
Personally, I prefer both motor and rhythmic development taking place as parallel as possible. However, more talented pupils will certainly be able to get the rhythmic complexities and enjoy them, because the compositions have a poetic atmosphere and "there is something to play about".
Happy New Playing!
